BTS: Seven Members, One Army, and a Tuna That Said Yes

BTS debuted in June 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment, today HYBE. Their 2017 single “DNA” entered the Billboard Hot 100, the first Korean boy band to do so. Their fans are known as ARMY.
Then South Korea’s mandatory military service split the group in time. Jin left first, in June 2024, and j-hope followed in October 2024. RM, V, Jimin and Jung Kook were discharged in June 2025, and Suga finished last that month as a social service agent, an alternative to army duty, because of a shoulder injury. In July 2025 all seven reunited on a livestream and promised a new album and a world tour.
The album Arirang came out on March 20, 2026: the group’s fifth full-length album, with 14 tracks. The world tour began in spring 2026 in South Korea. Some fans booked flights to Seoul before they had tickets, and a Malaysian fan booked hers as soon as the first comeback tease appeared.
And now the tuna. Jin wrote “Super Tuna” after a fishing trip with his producer Bumzu, and released it as a birthday video in December 2021. In October 2024 an extended version arrived, and its music video shows Jin, completely serious, proposing to a tuna with a ring in a box. The fish accepts. The day before, during a Weverse live, he had shown a tuna he caught, which he estimated at around 180 cm.
The fish story is a good reminder of why fans follow BTS: all seven take the music seriously, and never take themselves too seriously.
BTS has its own station in the Exclusive collection of Kalisha. Open the radio and press play.
